MUSIC CLASS
Music Class engages preschoolers’ natural love of music and activates their imaginations. A wide range of learning opportunities boosts language skills, confidence, independence, social-emotional skills, rhythm, coordination, and self-control. Preschoolers enjoy singing, dancing, and playing while learning, ultimately enabling them to improve on a number of future life outcomes.
At L.E.S. patriotism and citizenship are important; therefore, children learn Honduran songs and dances. They anticipate getting to Kinder so they may learn to play the flute and show off this talent to their family and friends during Kinder Graduation. Mr. Luis, with his unique laughter, is waiting for you to sing along to his guitar and piano.
EARLY CHILDHOOD STIMULATION
Early Childhood Stimulation caters to the needs of a child in all domains of development; physical, motor, language, cognitive, socio- emotional development, and creative and sensory contemplation. ECS emphasizes the child’s holistic development and extends beyond assisting the child’s transition to formal schooling.
Our aim is to help your child develop to his/her fullest potential. At L.E.S. we have a sensory classroom equipped to stimulate the senses of hearing, sight, touch and smell. It is a place where our kids may explore and develop their sensory skills, but also where they can relax and relieve stress and anxiety. Ms. July with her sweetness and gentleness will surely outlast the fiercest group of toddlers.
PHYSICAL EDUCATION
The more children are able to move, the more they are able to improve their academic performance. Gym class helps build core strength through exercise. Physical education activity enables a child to have the posture to sit up at a table or on the floor during circle time. They are better able to attend and learn if their bodies allow have “postural stability”. It’s all about the vestibular system, the sensory system that processes and controls movement.
This “control panel” helps kids understand balance, posture, a sense of upright positioning, and alertness. Movement in gym class gives their bodies feedback and helps them re-energize and refocus, while Mrs. Betty and Mr. Allan teach all about sportsmanship and teamwork.
